Default Preps

 Select Manufacturer

 

Note:You will go through these steps for each door mfg. used; i.e. once for HMD and again for WD.

 

 Load From History

  1. Select In-house or Factory.
  2. Click Ok to continue.

  3. Preps previously saved to History are applied to Hardware.

 

 Prep Selection by Group

  1. Right click in blank Prep field beside a Product that requires a door Prep.

  2. Click on Prep Selection by Group from drop down menu.

  3. Click on Group that contains required prep.
  4. Scroll to find and Hi-lite prep.
  5. Click Add or left mouse click and drag prep into box at right.

  6. Applicable Hardwaresets for {short code} appears with a list of all hardware sets containing that hardware product.
  7. Click on any set where this Prep would be inappropriate.
  8. Click OK to continue.

 

Note: An example would be to not apply an ASA strike prep assigned to a lock to a paired frame.

 

 Prep Selection by Description

  1. If Manufacturer’s Prep Code (or part of it) is known, type the code directly in the prep field and press <enter>.

  2. A list of all this manufacturer’s preps containing 453 will display.

  3. Check History box to save Prep in History.

 

Prep Property Values

To aid in ordering material, certain properties are added to give Manufacturers more specific Hardware information.

Note: When exiting Default Prep entry screen, a Warning appears if all required Property Values have not been assigned.

 

 Manufacturer Website Access

The user can access Mfr. Website for product or template information.

  1. Right click on any hardware item.
  2. Select Access Website.

 Reapply Preps to Openings

  1. Click on Reappply Preps to Openings icon.

  2. If Reapply Product Default Preps to Hardware Set Default Preps and Openings is selected, any specific changes made to individual sets will be lost.

 

Note: Check Reapply Hardware Set Default Preps to Openings Only.
